Join us at the Powder House for NPT's Annual Meeting
Join your fellow preservation advocates at the annual meeting of the Newburyport Preservation Trust on Sunday, October 14, 2012, 3 p.m., at the newly-restored 1822 Powder House, 57 Low Street, Newburyport. The brief meeting (3 - 3:30 p.m.) will be followed by a reception with refreshments (3:30 - 5 p.m.).
This year's meeting is also a showcase and celebration of NPT's involvement in the restoration and development of the Powder House Park & Learning Center. The opening this fall has been the culmination of an arduous nine-year process of behind-the-scenes planning, structural rehabilitation, and research-based restoration. The official dedication was September 20, and on Sept. 23, as part of Trails & Sails events, the Powder House hosted nearly 200 visitors. Since then, the Powder House has been the destination for several school groups.
Preservation issues are on the "front burner" this fall, so don't miss this opportunity to share your views, new ideas, and initiatives with the board and fellow members.
In case of inclement weather, the meeting will be at the Custom House Maritime Museum, 25 Water Street, Newburyport.
