The NPT fall 2019 newsletter is hot off the press
...and available in cool, easy-to-read PDF format HERE.

In this issue:

- A report from the Massachusetts Preservation Conference. More than 300 preservation professionals, city/town board members, and preservation advocates gathered in Plymouth, Mass. in late September to learn from each other how to encourage preservation over demolition.

- Stories behind NPT Historic House Plaques. In October the Daily News of Newburyport featured the first in a series of articles on homes researched for NPT's Historic House Plaque Program.

- NPT at Bartlet Mall Day. NPT engaged an interested crowd at a festive Bartlet Mall Day on October 5.

- Words Not Necessary. It's a good thing the photos tell the story, because it would take many pages to explain how mixups in Newburyport's zoning, permitting, and enforcement system allowed the demolition of a c.1800 DCOD-protected house at 4-6 Bromfield Street.
